I take gift giving seriously, so I do a lot of research to make sure that what I give will be cherished. The only problem with this approach is in the process I find things I want. I would love to tell you that all I want is world peace, but the reality is I’m not that emotionally mature—yet. So here are the things I’m giving this year and a few really cool things that I added to my personal wish list. I hope these lists will help you with your holiday shopping.
I’ll be giving the SeeJaneWork Note Block, the Heart Mouse Pad & Coaster Set and the Desktop Easel with Motivational Cards to the professional women in my life. I have the luxury of knowing which See Jane Work products are universally popular, so I know they will love what I’ve chosen. I’m giving the Black Faux Leather Business Card Holder, with my business card in it of course, to the male professionals in my life. Where budget is less of an issue I plan to give the Black Faux Leather Desk Valet.
The heat and humidity in Florida require short sleeves and bare legs for much of the year. When my sister complemented my bare legs the other day, I knew exactly what to get her, and my friends, for Christmas. You see, my legs are really not that great, but the Beauty Counter Glow Getter Gift Set covers up a whole lot of imperfections. For those of you who do not live in Florida, the scrub and body butter work wonders on the dry skin that comes with winter.
For friends that will never, under any circumstances, show their legs, I’ll give the Kiss, Kiss Gift Set or this beautiful Navy Gold Sunburst Ring Dish from The Object Enthusiast. Small dishes and trays are a necessary and beautiful way to contain small clutter.
The man in my life is more about experiences than things so he is getting a Royal Shave from the Art of Shaving Barber Spa.
I am blessed with boys, so when a friend has a girl I tend to go overboard with the gifts. I am currently obsessed with the website www.pandybode.com, an online store with the most unique, well-curated offering of clothing and toys for little girls (and boys).
I purchased the Sweet Sleepy Doll and Strawberry Beanie for the little ladies in my life, but it took everything in me to stop there. For the little men, I chose the Under The Sea Sleepsack in shark. I also picked up a Wooden Tree Marble Track to have on hand just in case.
For the tween girls in my life, these lovely bracelets from Free Little Bird, a small, woman-owned business. For the tween boys, a magazine subscription that fits their interests.
And while I was shopping for everyone else I found a few things for myself.
A Touch of Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Bar from Lindt is my go to chocolate fix.
Who doesn’t love details like tassels on doors and drawers? The Fortune Tassel in Peach from Loom + Kiln, is a modern take on a traditional décor item.
I haven’t decided whether I would plant it with succulents or moss, or simply fill it with sea glass I’ve collected. Either way, I hope to get a cast stone Heart Planter.
Whether at the beach, park or in my backyard, picnicking is one of my favorite activities, so I’ve got my eye on The San Diego Beach Blanket, from Fair Seas Supply Company or the Beach Candy Picnic Blanket from Turkish-T.
These ideas may or may not work for you, but this handy gift tracker will!
