about us
Who is Jane?
The first question that pops into most people’s heads when they hear about our
company is, “Who is Jane?”
Jane is a fictional character who embodies everything working women are today. Whether our work is in the home,
in the office, or, in our home-office, we are expert organizers and multi-taskers who can lead the staff meeting,
make the contract revisions, and schedule the vet appointment, all before we’ve had our second cup of coffee.
Many of us grew up in the days when little girls wore pink dresses and Mary Jane shoes to school. Of course, some
of us wore jeans with holes in the knees and cowboy boots. Still others had a style all their own right from the
start. (And woe to the well-meaning mother who would try to repress that style.) Jane of See Jane Work is that
little girl, all grown up. Maybe she’s traded her Mary Janes for Prada pumps or maybe she’s still wearing her
cowboy boots. Maybe her unique style became a trend, and eager not to appear trendy, she re-invented her style,
(and her mother still doesn’t get it).
The point is, Jane is a big girl now, and while she might still occasionally manage to skip rope, she must also
manage her career, her home, and her future.
See Jane Work offers working women, no matter what kind of work they do, the tools to manage their time efficiently,
and to get and stay organized.
So if Jane is fictional...Who’s running the Company?
Holly Bohn Founder & CEO
The idea for See Jane Work came when one of Holly's many trips to Office Depot left her
feeling frustrated and unsatisfied. "There is only so much you can do with smoke-colored
plastic trays," she exclaimed "There must be another way!" After consulting with several
friends, she realized there were stylish office supplies out there; they were just so hard to
find. See Jane Work was born, the online destination for office style and organization.
Holly appreciates freshly painted baseboards, "roughing it" with her two young boys and
husband, Portuguese Water Dogs, a backyard game of badminton, and of course a freshly blended
margarita. She goes to great lengths to make the workplace fun and exciting and in an effort
to make everyone at work laugh, once injured her neck by standing on her head. Her background
is in corporate accounting and she still puts those skills to use planning and implementing
accounting systems for small businesses. An avid labeler, Holly was perhaps a bit too excited
when she discovered that the new Clip-On Labels fit perfectly on the Russell & Hazel binders.
Holly graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in Finance which goes
to show you that even brainy girls like to party.
Kelly Osborne Director, Public Relations & Marketing
If discovering hot online shopping sites were a sport, Kelly would be an All Star. So
it's no surprise that when the opportunity arrived to help publicize a site as unique as
See Jane Work, she dropped everything and hopped on board. Her greatest joy is being a mom
but she also enjoys getting upgraded to first class, pretending to be Martha Stewart and
thinks the National Stationery Show is "Heaven on Earth." Kelly started her career in
entertainment PR, and then spent several years working in "dot com land" at companies
including Babystyle.com, Fatbrain.com and eBay.com. Kelly's favorite office look is
organized chaos, which includes anything that will help her endless stacks of magazines
look 'pretty'. Kelly graduated from California State University, Chico with a degree in
Journalism, which makes her especially accommodating to editors everywhere. And yes, her
curls are natural.
Heidi Templin Director of Operations
Heidi's career actually began in the field of accounting. However a job with Global Brand Marketing, Inc. (distributor of
Diesel shoes) led her to leave her Chart of Accounts behind and pursue a profession in manufacturing and distribution.
While working for the fast-growing, rapidly-evolving GBMI, naturally inquisitive Heidi made it a point to ask lots of
questions. As a result she became familiar with nearly every aspect of fashion design and manufacturing, and particularly
adept at order fulfillment, allocation, distribution and warehouse management. Her love of fashion, combined with her
experience working with Diesel, XOXO, and August Accessory brands, and her unique personal style made her a perfect fit
at See Jane Work. As the self-designated Policy and Procedure Queen, Heidi helps oversee day-to-day operations at
See Jane Work. She loves a challenge and is quick to dive in and troubleshoot any problem thrown her way, particularly
if the problem can be resolved by the creation of a new form. (The forms generally are helpful, but some suspect the
real reason for them is to further vex Heather and Anne, who have enough trouble trying to keep up with Holly's growing
collection of self-inking stamps.) At times boisterous and bawdy, Heidi has been known to break out in an improvised
cheerleading routine just to break up the day. In addition to her position as Director of Operations at See Jane Work,
Heidi is also mother to an incredibly adorable little girl, Ashley, and wife to a moderately adorable (and amazingly
good-natured) husband, Steve.
Heather Lowe Office Manager
Heather has worked in dental offices for over 10 years where she discovered that she loves
working with people even if they have bad breath. We believe Heather could easily hold the
world record for completing a "To Do" list faster than anyone else. It was this skill that
led us to offer her a job at See Jane Work. After many blended mochas and the promise of a
flex schedule, (to keep an eye on her high school aged daughter, I'm sure you can relate) she
packed up her Francesco Biasia bag and joined the team. Heather thrives on neatness and
frequently cleans up after others. She also loves fancy coffee drinks, cigars, and thrift
store shopping. We are convinced that her thrift store shopping success is directly related
to her size. She is so small that she can fit into the tiny designer dresses that people
buy in hopes of losing weight, but then donate to thrift stores out of sheer frustration.
Officially Heather is the office manager, unofficially she is the office therapist, a good
listener she can always see "your side" of the problem. We think she needs therapy because
she is obsessed with pens and notepads. Heather loves to sing and dance at work and does
not mind if she is not always in tune.
